Madhav Nepal was arrested yesterday after being put under house arrest for few months. He is now under police custody. Majority of people here find it good news and think that he should have been arrested long time ago. I think that the government should now investigate his actions right from Jhapa scandal when his party was involved in killing of people. I am also happy to see this development like the huge majority of people here. I also congratulate the Nepal government on taking such a bold step to arrest corrupt individuals no matter what position they occupied in the past. Rambhu Yadav Kathmandu, Nepal.

I agree with you. The developments in the Politics of Nepal is maturing. This was first major blow to the politicians in Nepal. They are learning that non of the Politicians are safe. They have to be in Do-or-Die situations. Politics in Nepal was turning more into a family fued, actions like these with make eveyone serious, Politics is a risky Business. If you are not qualified, if you dont have guts then sweet talking, clever moves just aint enough. The Demotion of Baburam from Maoist leadership is also significant. Prachanda had better skills, better control, better direction. Baburam eventhough he formed the party was overthrown, this is the law of nature, if you are weak you are gonna die. These progresses show that nepali politics has passed the learning, the teenage stage. Things are maturing now, ever one is in Cut-throat situation, either you kill or you will be killed. This should be a good eye opener for all the Nepalese. Politics is just not Government money, power and a dirty game, it is also a dangerous game. Just because you have ideology, skills to lecture is not enough to be a politician in Nepal. You may end up being killed like Madan Bhandari folks, you gotta risk your life if you wanna do Politics in Nepal. Things are shaping up and real hard. Lets c who is the ultimate survivor. I dont think any of the current leaders have those skills. Good luck nepal.

Good news, all corrupt leaders such as Makune, Girija should be serving terms in the prison. Only then new leaderships with fresh vision come in power in these parties who could take bold decision of overthrowing the most corrupt and cruel monerchy for good. People will also get energy then If they lead the movement of democracy, people don't believe them, next they could compromize with the palace at any time during the movement just in one signal of India or USA. You Tulsi Giri's matiharharu, go and support , and ask your government to investigate Makune since his birth. Hi might have such more blood than milk from his mother's chest. No problem!

in jhapa scandal, many individuals including Madhav Nepal was involved in killing of rich people. It was around 1960. Their method was to chop the head of rich people in the name of communism. Their main aim is to supress the country with a Central Committee. Madhav Nepal himself once declared in Nepal TV that he came to power after reducing men's height by about 6 inches. That meant chopping the head off.

It's parties time to fall down. They can go on free fall so that new opportunity is created. There is a already void in Nepal politics of which King is taking huge advantage of. It's time to form a new party by a new charismatic leader that has the potential to topple existing parties and reach up to grass root levels in every corner of Nepal. Tara ke garne, that's not going to happen anytime soon. It’s an irony that where a Hawaldar can influence the country, no intellectual with some guts emerge to topple Hawaldar. The result is nobody else gets the chance for anything other than by Hawaldar himself. KG is a Bhote Kukur so he bites everyone who eyes his ancestral inheritance or causes risk for his generation. Maoists don't have good tactics in the game of chess where the ultimate target is the king. It would have been better if they could create division among the palace loyals. Growing widows and orphans population will haunt both Maoists and KG some day. But to the advantage of perpetrators, that will also take some time. International community shows only hypocrisy saying it has grave concern over Nepal situation. They make noise of imposing smart sanctions to royals and full fledged democracy like EU still welcomes Paras. However, let's just let it go. When the crisis goes to extreme, it will find its own way. Just look at how was all powerful Indira Gandhi got shot just by her own body guard. Even though, Sikhs were involved on that incident, it proves that KG’s life also is very vulnerable. Let's hope, KG reaches to that extreme soon. Right now, people still think KG is better than parties. That's the biggest problem. So, it brings to the conclusion that Nepal is not ready for the change or full democracy yet.

Rambhu, all are looters (chor, danka, bhate bajjya haru) no matter whom you support (symbol of cruelty) and whom you opppose (maobadis and khaobadis). You have to wait to see the moments at which all will be declared f**king loosers.

One good news after another. Unofficial report has said that US will resume its arms supply to Nepal. This may be true , may not be true but the sign in positive. Even if the US government is saying it is not true, they are testing the opinion before doing what they have wanted to do. The 7 parties are requesting people to join in protest next month in a similar way in which they used to ask for votes before in election times. They are making a laughing stock of themselves.

How about the investigating royal scandle - the massacre of king Birendra and his entire family and other memebers who loved Birendra and all of a sudden from Pokhara Gyanne the dictator become your king - your means those who support this government. There are many of you mostly brats who grew during the period of Democracy without the direct knowledge of Panchayet autocracy and its nation wide crime? Many of you are in abroad like the place in New Orleans in USA......... You will see soon your govenments vice chair and some ministers with the your king g will be brought to justice in the international court. How does your anti-democratic support will wine the world and Nepali people's heart.. that you will soon see with your wide eyes plucking out like the eyes of chicken with the flue and fever......

More good news that 5 Maoist commanders have been arrested from Kathmandu. Just imagine them mingling with the people in 7 parties' demonstrations. Anything could have happened. http://www.nepalnews.com/archive/2006/mar/mar31/news12.php

Rambhu, talk abou the solution. nabbing, killing, terrorizing, abducting, and finishing any side of the groups is not the solution. Unfortunately, both sides are doing these inhuman things. you nabed 5 of them today, they in turn abduct 25 tomorrow. then these abducted will be brain washed after few days. they again send among these abducted to Kathmandu, and you again nab 5 of them and/or kill 5 more. Where are the rest 15?

Rambhu and royalists First of all you must know that Jhapa Movement was led by Mohan Chandra Adhikari, CP Mainali and Radha Krishna Mainali and not by Madhav Nepal. Madhav Nepal and Madan Bhadary's belonged to the Mukti Morcha Group, a dissident faction of Pushpa Lal who joined Jhapa Co-ordination Comittee and together many other individuals and groups, NCP (ML) was formed. If the Jhapa Extremists are to be punished today, how about starting from Radha Krishna Mainali who is minister in your beloved King's cabinet? Madhav Kumar Nepal has been arrested with a very ridiculous charges that he gathered people and created confusion that would harm the national sovereignity. Madhav Kumar was under house arrest. He had even no access to telephone and he was barred to meet outsiders. How come he could gather people? Do the king and his mice ministers dare to charge him on corruption or irregularities or misuse of power during UML's minority government? Kamal jee, एउटा माघ ले जाडो जाँदैन, मूसा मन्त्री ।लोकतान्तृक नेपालमा तिम्रो हबिगत के हुने हो, त्यस्को चिन्ता गर ।
