Can anybody list the books written by Lain Singh Bangdel? I forgot the titles of few which I had read.

I remember only following.
Seto Bagh
Pratibbaddh

I had read at least one more. I remember the story but not the name of the book.

If it is Diamond Samshere you are talking about, some of his works I have read are the following:

Seto Bagh
Basanti
Pratibaddha
Satprayash

There probably are more, but the names escape me at the moment.

Personally, having read his books (and an excellent Bangdel bio, please see the Amazon link below), I think he was a far "better" artist (in a chitra-kala sense) and a great investigative art historian than a novelist.

But that's just my opinion.

Bangdel's bio (highly recommended) is:

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I remember reading Seto Bagh, Pratibaddh and Basanti. I remembered the stories of these but forgot the book names. I might have read Satprayas too - somebody has to remind me the story in brief. From Lain Singh, I had read Muluk Bahira. It has been over a decade I read those books. Time has gone so has my memory. But, memory can come back.

Somebody has said that he took three degrees but forgot the degree names. He was claiming he could prove that he actually took the degree by looking at his certificates which was packed in his briefcase. Hope, that's not the case with me.

1. Aanita
2. Dhan ko Dhabba

basanti and seto bagh are the novel that revolves around RANAS. but i recommend Aanita, it is social type and and a good one.

so far about lain singh wangdel, Langada ko Sathi was written by him.
some are already written, but if i remember i will definitely write it down.

I haven't seen Lain Singh Bangdel's arts......but I have read his books.......and those are one of the most spectacular books I have ever read...... He is the only writer....who dares to represent and speak for small and unnoticed events of life...and makes the readers realize their importance...

I haven't seen Bangdel's art either. I had read only one book of him called Muluk Bahira. Comparing Bangdel with Diamond Shamsher I was more impressed more by Diamond. I need to read further I guess.

There is no way to get these book in US. If anybody from Nepal is coming to Boston I would pay the price and appreciate the efforts.

Thanks
