What would Jesus do?

Comparing Bush with Jesus may seem ludicrous at this point, but it is still worth doing, because Bush is still garnering support from the "Christian" right. As long as false prophets like Pat Robertson and James Dobson are backing him, there will be a significant number of voters who believe that Bush is God's representative, meant to bring about God's kingdom.
They deal with the ungodly atrocities of the Iraq invasion by believing in the "just war" theory, and by believing that Muslims are hateful jihadis who deserve what they get. They deal with the assaults on the environment by believing that planet earth is condemned, and Jesus will take the believers to a new heaven and a new earth. They deal with the assaults on human rights by arguing that the Constitution should be replaced by theocracy, with stern punishments for those who break religious law.
What finally opened the eyes of many believers was Bush's callous indifference to the victims of Katrina. And more and more, people are speaking out against the ruthless, lying, totally unchristian ways of the Bush regime.
Here's what Jesus will do, through those of us who truly follow Him.
Isaiah 11: 4He shall judge the poor with justice,
and decide aright for the land?s afflicted.
He shall strike the ruthless with the rod of His mouth,
and with the breath of His lips he shall slay the wicked.
