Hi, I got into a University of London school starting next academic year to pursue my graduate studies, but do not have any financial aid as of now. Does any one here know how do I fund my education there? Is there any funding, scholarship, financial aid or even loan option for foreign students? Is there any website or organization where I can apply for financial aid? Please help. Your help will be highly appreciated. Thank you very much, KBY

Sorry KBY, I don't know the system in UK but if you have an alternative plan for US, I might be able to give you some suggestions BG

KBY: Not meant to discourage you bro, but getting into a unversity is the easiest part. Obtaining the Visa and finding the financial means not so easy part.

bengaltiger, I have no plans to come to US , but thanks for your offer. newlynew, you did not discourage me. I too figured out that getting in is the easiest part (if I could get in, anyone can) but getting the required money is the hardest. I am not concerned about visa now. I have almost a year to deal with that. The pressing problem is $$. Let me ask for help again: Is there any place I can apply to for funding? I do not qualify for Chevning because I don't have the required work experience and I will have to be away from Nepal throughout the months of October and November. Is there a loan option for foreign students? Thank you very much, Kya Bore Yaar

KBY, Universities in the United Kingdom and particularly at London offer very few scholarships to foreign students. And its very rare to find one for undergraduate courses. As far as I know, there are some Nepalese studying in scholarship at Westminster, Metropolitan, Southbank, LSE, City University in London. Nepal is in the priority list for a couple of scholarships in the first two universities I have mentioned. As you have already secured approval for your admission, why not you contact the admin and the faculty asking for scholarship or full or partial fee exemption, explaining your problems and inability? If you can make a good case, presenting a strong academic ground as well as some good reasons for fee exemption, you might be successful. I think its the University and the department itself that can help for your cause. Try your luck but its hard to get it. All the best :)
