Let's ASSUME the driver was at fault for reckless driving or failing to let a police vehicle pass...

Does that petty traffic violation warrant physical abuse of the driver by the police? Come on, guys! There should be such a thing called due process of the law. Disproportionate use of force, in this case, on-the-spot beating of the driver for failing to let a police vehicle pass is a BLATANT and DISGUSTING violation of a citizen's right.

Now, let's ASSUME that this was an isolated incident, and that not all security personnel are this bad, although, I find it hard to believe that most of them are not just as bad, if not worse...

Let's see some action towards prosecuting the "bad apple" in the bunch!

I have sympathy towards the driver because of his wounds, [not for anything else because we dont know whether it was his fault or not].

Euta photo le ke nai bataucha ra? Hola driver ko galti pani huna sakcha. Police ko galti pani huna sakcha, we dont know.

Aba kuro ayo, ke driver le nai galti gare pani pitna payincha? Mero answer: sakcha bhane payincha, sakidaina bhane payidaina. When I was in Ktm in August, I drove around in a bike for 45 minutes and that was it; no more of it. I was apalled by the utter disregard of traffic rules.

Mathi ek dui jana le niyam kanun ra human right ko kura garnu bha rahicha. If I was pushed in a dangerous situation because of someoine driving dangerously, tehre is no way I am gonna file a lawsuit against him in the supreme court. Having kicked at least few cars and crushing at least one tempo with my kick in the past, I think it is only natural.

That being said, I sympathise with the driver for his wounds.

P.s. Tyo pic ma ramite haru haru na. Kehi phitikka hunu hundaina, ramite haru ko bhid. Kati din pachi yeso sajha ma ako ta yesto pic po dekhnu paryo, hetteri.

Hahah...that nigga got fuked up..

On a more serious note, citizens of Nepal: Go get armed.

Police, Army, and Maoists got all the guns...what you going to do in response? throw rocks at them??....Get a couple of rifles and if any of these fuks comes to your doorsteps blow their fukin heads off.

i don't know how credible the source is ....!!!....??? but in my point of view, violence is the last option. ... to be clear, was that the first measure or the last measure taken to the driver by the police..??. but guyz .. let's not generalize everybody and everything....

nepal123....I'd like to see what you would type if that was your brother who got messed up like that...or maybe your brother is a police officer...and that is why you are so apathetic to the beating this guy took...cause it was your brother who was administering the beating..

this is just the tip of the iceberg of the shitt that goes on in Nepal...ive seen it firsthand...how the police and army misuse their powers and get away with it..this is far from just an isolated incident

Question is NOT whether the driver is at fault.

Question is should we, as Nepali citizens who are subject to Nepal Police's administration of law, accept this vigilante justice (if one can call it justice) served by a person with authority to a fellow citizen in such brutal manner without due process.

Today it is this school-bus driver. Tomorrow it could be you. Consider this: You are riding on your Hero Honda and make a U-turn at a place where it is not allowed. Maybe you did not see the sign, maybe you genuinely made a mistake, maybe you did not care. Nobody is hurt, but a traffic cop sees you and beats you up for breaking the law. Now is that justified?

Just because a citizen breaks the law, does the man in the blue uniform have the right to take matters in his own hands?

See, law of the land is clear here - even in this current state of emergency, police are there to arrest the offenders, period. Arrest, nothing more. Delivery of justice should be left to the judicial system.

As far as I can see, the POLICE has become the CRIMINAL by beating up the driver, even though he might have broken the law by not letting the police vehicle pass.

And we, as that driver's fellow Nepali citizens, should be outraged by such brutal action of police, who by the way is there to serve us and protect us.

Bottom line is: Those who are sworn to defend the laws should just do that.

If the driver was at fault, he should have been dealt according to the laws. Those law enforcement personnel are supposed to enforce the laws not ridicule them by acting like some hooligans. I seriously doubt about existence of any traffic law that pronouces, "if the drivers violate traffic rules or don't respect law enforcement officers beat the hell out of the offending drivers".

Whom to go ask for JUSTICE ???????
ARMRY--? King?? Sarbocha Adalat ???

In our country policies, rules APPLIED only for the very Normal (low-income) people. those rules are not implemented by policy makers themselves. KING BREAKS RURLES as do other bureaucrats (HIGH OFFICIALS).

Did you forget so soon PARAS killing LOK-GAYAK- PRAVIN GURUNG in KTM, other guy in Naryanghat AND HE BEAT UP A tampo driver in Lainchowor?? HUMAN RIGHTS PEOPLE were saying after killing of PRAVIN GURUNG that they will go in international court or so. NEPALI JANATA-LAI uloo banaye, did do nothing. SABAI kukur haru AAKCHHIN bhuke ANI luruka FARKE.

Sajha-ma dekhinchha, Hami haru GIRIJA- MA-KU-NE jasta neta lai gali gareko, nepali GAI-JATRA cassette haru ma tehi dekhincha girija lai gali gareko, wagle lai gali gareko. but no one has dared to speak against those real problem makers in country for a long time, THE ROYAL FAMILY. GIRIJA KO JASTO BIROD HUNCHHA aru sabai BHRASTACHARI ko pani testai hunu parchha, including MAHA-BRASTACHARI, THE ROYAL FAMILY. Freedom of speech ta hunu paryo ni YAAR..DES-MA.

WELL GUYS,

There is no hope of JUSTICE in Nepal not at all. I am hoping MOTHER NATURE will balance and solve the problem, it may take generations. What do you think friends, could you come up with better solutions that could prevent these misbehaviors?

===========================

Nice said MOTHER NATURE will balance and solve the problem, but what happen when Tsunami hit, only the poor people die and same thing happens in Nepal as well if Mother Nature try to solve the problem, always Poor and innocent people will die, those who has big bunglow, ever mother nature doesnot dare to touch it.

There is no justice system in our country, Karyapalika, bawasthapika and Nyanapalika all are corrupt ... JO AGUWA UHI BATO HAGUWA bhaye pachi desh ko awasta kasto hola.. tyo ta sabai lai thaha bhayeko kura ho.... Bhir bata khasna lageko gorulai RAM RAM bhanna matrai sakincha, Kadh thapna sakinna.....Tehi pani aasha ko diyo balera basau ki ekdin ta sunaulo prabhat hunecha bhanera.

The picture clearly depicts the brutality of the cops. This has existed from long time back. I remember a incident in school days when my frens coming back from tution were arrested and were beaten up really bad by thse mofo cops for no freaking reasons.

the police action is against any reason. just coz they power doesn't mean they can do whatever they please.they have to be held accountable for their actions, this is gross voilation of human rights.

As I said above, there is always a bad apple in the bunch. However, I am not implying what happened to that bus driver was great, that was very unfortunate and inhumane. Of course, whoever did that needs to be brought to justice.

Lets not forget those same army and police are maintaing the law and order in the country.
I don't have any relative in neither of those forces but I admire their work. Knowing there is still army and police functioning well gives me a relief. Lets not generalize things. It will not be fair for those army and police who are fighting day and nights and giving up their lives to protect other nepalis.

i personally believe that who has power he will abuse it!if it was a red plate that did not give the police van a side nothing would happen(cos the cops dont know whose veichele it is)so thats why public transport veicheles are the ones who get most harrased in nepal(KTM)by the cops!
