Happy New Year! Those who have a background in Law--What does it mean when the judge puts a lawsuit in Multavi? How long is a multavi period? Will the case be dismissed?

In nepal, multavi is soft approach of saying dismiss. But it can be reinstate if further evidences are produced . I have a case in nepal which is in multavi for a decade now . I hit a guy in teenage but there was no substantial ecidence . I dunno about usa
