Got gc (for spouse)in mail. It's been over a month but haven't got ssn yet. while filing gc, selected an option for ssn to be mailed. Need it to file tax for this year so can qualify for stimulus payment due to pandemic. Any suggestion? Thanks.

If the SS office is open in your area, go there and apply in person. If closed for the time being, can do nothing other than wait.

went to ssn office twice and they recommended to wait to be delivered in mail. had my address changed lately. updated USCIS. got gc in old mailing address. expecting ssn at the old address too. might be there is some way to track online if the ssn is already been mailed or not..will explore it.
