If its for legitimate school expenses, you can wire direct from national banks to the school accounts once you get your billing statement. You can also visit Billings department and get the transfer account numbers and routing number for the school.

As suggested by above user, for legitimate school expenses, you can always send money from Nepal for total of expenses of one academic calendar year. Just like when you came for 1st time when you were allowed to bring money mentioned in your I-20 and living expenses. It will be lengthier process and all those paper work, But I think it is worth it than 'hundi' or exchange with someone here. I do not suggest doing exchange with someone that you do not know and I do not think it will work and the risk is too much. I tried once here with someone and it didn't work. However, if you know your friends or relatives or someone you can trust, you can do it too. I did with only my closed friends. Hope this helps.

As a usmle practitioner i guess ur in B1 visa or u have a green card or ur a dependent on somebody so either way u cannot bring money back here in legal way..so ask someone who is already matched, they should have good chunk of $$$ ready to send back nepal, pay them in nepal take $$$ here, or money exchange in nepal ( thamel ) in most cases do it for u but they will take commission... never deal monetary matter anyone in sajha or any other forum...well i guess u need more than 10K for the USMLE journey , so try bring it once
