Dear All Sajha users,
My parents are trying to apply for a visitors visa in July. However the press release on the Embassy website only lists few items such as passport, Visa Application Form to be presented to the embassy during the interview. The new rule does not allow you to present any invitation letter, purpose of visit letter or any bank and property valuations documents. My question is how are you going to be able to show ties to your country if you are not allowed to present these documents during the interview? Has anyone been through this process? If so could you please share with me? This new rule started on June 1st, 2016. FYI
Thanks,

If you follow usembassy nepal in fbook , they have regular updates and chat session about this scenario. Its all about interview now , as long as the visitor can convince ties with their family back home theoretically they get the visa. Personally I think its a mix of how convincing you are in the interview and if the VO is in a good mood.
