There's been quite a buzz about PFA(Premiere Finance Alliance) and it's insurance agents especially in nepali community recently. Few people have been complaining that they have been scammed by some nepali insurance agents. Mr. Ram prasad khanal has posted a Video with some nepali expert and Mr khanal says he's been cheated by the insurance agents, so he's trying to stop this and he's trying to raise awareness. There are tons of comments posted in facebook and it's like a war between some PFA agents vs other people. Let's have a healthy discussion about PFA, the product they advertise is Indexed Universal Life insurance(through National Life group) i believe. If anyone is expert in Life Insurance please share your thoughts. Here's a link to the original post in facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rpkhanal/posts/10207483295013769

I think that you have been approached by someone name Bhandari or Khanal. There are so many Nepalese who can't even fill up one form and now just to earn commission they are trying to sell bad products to innocent Nepalese people. You can see them at most of NOVA and DC events and Neplese gathering, trying to convince people about their products and financial advice that anyone could make 5 figure salary. These people has even isolated their own Nepalese neighbor who didn't buy their products or became their group member. Now you can see all his family members working for pfa and even successful to gather lots of Nepalese in their group. I hope that those people what they are doing. I would better go with $3000/month income rather selling unsuitable products to innocent people.

To be honest - i think it's a fault of both side.....you have a rookie insurance agents that want to sell insurance. So, with pretty much every sale strategy you go to the people you know the most to tell them about the products/goods/service and tell'em all the good stuff. And in this case....nepali people like to think that other nepali people won't screw them over. So the buyer will hear all the good stuff and trust agent and buy the goods. The key issue is....the buyer needs to educate themselves enough to ask the right questions instead of just trusting someone cause he is from your country. Everyone gotta eat!!! And let's really be honest....from what i've seen, nepali community don't believe in life insurance....they believe in "my kids will take care of me insurance". FYI, I've been approached twice by two nepali agent from different firms....one for retirement and health....and both times i had a meeting and i really listened to them to hear what they have to say so that i can compare and decide to purchase or pass. Problem was, when i asked questions....the agents for most part didn't have an answer, became hesitant (and one of them started to sweat like a waterfall), and really lost the control of the meeting, at that point i was like dude your wasting my time....don't call me....I'll call you!
