Hi, i am a student on F1 visa in Louisville, Kentucky and want my parents to send me some money from Nepal for my studies, so if anyone wants to send money to Nepal, i can ask my parents to give the money to your relatives in Nepal and you can send me dollars $$ in USA.

your parents can go to the bank and show them your I-20 and make a cashier's check which they can send it to you. i doubted anybody will exchanged money like you proposed unless there is a significant cut on the exchange rate. there is also a risk to transfer money to a stranger in the US. for example, if i send you money and you do some illegal stuff and get caught, that money will create a link between you and I . good luck.

dolphin - thanks but will i be able to cash the cashier's check here in US in dollars? and will they not charge a lot for doing that? i mean the bank in Nepal as well as the bank where i cash the cheque here in US?
and i know it is hard to believe a stranger but i guess its a matter of trust. i am a university graduate student.

@boimed, no bank in nepal will tranfer money that way to US.
