Fellas,

I am debating over whose lab to join for grad studies: A tenured settled professor who gives 0 fucks to whats going on in the lab, or an untenured starting professor who gives so much fucks that he makes ur life a hustle-overloaded. Whats ur say ?

Provided other things similar or better (your research interests, general University ranking, grant, etc.), probably it is better idea to join non-tenured starting prof, as he/she needs immediate outputs (publications, abstract, conferences), and in the long-run, that helps you too.

You are in Grad school...finally, you can make your own decision lol. So, go for the one whose research area excites you the most. You shouldn't be looking for a chill time (as we did in +2/whatever).
