Are there any serious B&M NLHE poker players based in east-coast ? We can share resources and help each other out.

Sorry to have wasted your precious time by asking to explain two terms. I googled before I posted, and the results weren't helpful. Sounded like some kind of tourney, but I wasn't sure. You know you would've saved more precious time by not posting that reply at all, that was as helpful as a blank post.

B&M = brick and mortar, playing live at casinos, not online NLHE = no limit hold them What I was trying to say was, I m looking for some serious players, someone who is thinking abt going pro. Pls don't feel offended if I came across otherwise. Friends are really helpful in poker for strategy, review, analysis etc.

You have to be lucky and extremely disciplined to do good in poker. its like pursuing a phd in psychology. I used to do B&M. My pasttime used to be reading supersystem, ace on the river etc. I did good in it but later on stakes increased, swings started taking toll on my health. So i downgraded to tourney every month or so, just for fun. After all that grinding i realised, it is gambling at end of the day. Biggest tourney are decided on heads up. Thus, luck is necessary. For future poker players. One extremely important advice. "Dont sit down on a table with money you cant afford to loose" May you find ivey, doyle, ungar like success.

Thnx. At end of day, luck evens out. Only advantage that remains is skill specially at cash games. Tourneys are donkaments, luck plays a huge part. Play small tourneys where luck is not a big factor if ur bankroll is not that big. If u r serious, listen to Bart Hanson and spend the time u waste at facebook or sajha at 2+2 llsnl forum. Theoretical books are good, but u need to read practical cash game books more.
